Bears on the Road, against the Kenyon-Snow Storm-or Baldwin-Wallace...
BEREA, OH - the Men's and Women's ONU Swimming and Diving squat swept the Wallace-Baldwin College on Saturday; both teams add another chapter to the legendary Golden Kickboard trophy which made it back to the home of Polar Bears! For results click here.
Fast-moving snowstorm struck the traveling Polar Bears squads with a few inches of snow on Friday night. However, #16 ONU Men's team and Women's team made it to the NCAA III. division power house, visiting the No. 1-ranked Men's and No. 3 ranked Women's Team, at the Kenyon Aquatic Center. At the end Kenyon dominated this meet but Bears did not fear and lead by Senior Michael Schultz who posted two wins for Northern in the 1000 Free and in the 500 Free in 4:46.14; Junior Marc Anderson who also won the first place in the 100 Fly; Drew Keriazes took over the 100 Breast.
Ohio Northern also swept diving events, taking the top three spots. Between divers Junior Albert Schmidt took the top spots in both the 1-meter and 3-meter and Junior Amy Elmer who was the only Lady Bear to take the first places in 1-meter and the 3-meter.
